Hippie’s Look

The Hippie movement was all about peace
and love and created a whole lifestyle with typical clothing and accessories. To this day you can still sense and see hippie influences in current fashion trends. Think of maxi dresses, headbands, scarves, tie dye, flower prints, off the shoulder tops, tunics, the diva floppy hat, tunics, wedges, poncho’s, the peace earrings and much more. This year you can say goodbye to skinny jeans as wide legged trousers are making their comeback and as you probably might guess, this trend is also derived from the hippie chic lifestyle. Fashion designers look at the past for
inspiration and ‘old’ trends always make
their comeback into the current fashion
scene. I love the 50’s, 70’s and 80’s as I
believe that this era’s were a boost for
fashion and to this day continues to inspire fashion collections and many fashionistas.

It’s hard to pin down what exactly is the
‘hippie’ look, but most people can agree that it is grounded in respect for the natural world and a love of music and community. They chose the simple clothes, or clothes could buy cheap seized thrift stores. They opted for more natural fibers like cotton and wool. They made their own clothes, and, sewing and crafts hippie jackets woven ribbons and crochet.

Men and women in the hippie movement wore jeans and maintained long hair, wore sandals or bare feet. Often, men and women grew beards refused to wear makeup and bras. They wore colorful clothing in unusual styles which includes bell bottom jeans, jackets, tie-dyed clothing, dashiki, peasant skirts and blouses, and the famous hippie headbands. You know what to do, and where to get them.

Here are some ideas:
Playfully mixed prints work well and chunky rings and headbands can add flavor to any boho inspired outfit. There is however a right way to put it all together without looking like you are from the cast of “Hair”.

The celebs are experimenting with the hippie look, so why can’t you! Here are some modern hippie looks that i like. 1960 fashions and values had a lasting impact on the culture, the influence of music, television, cinema, literature and art in many ways. Now, to adapt to society, we see things as alternative arts, street theater, folk music and psychedelic rock classics of the era as a hippie. These Bohemians made great efforts to implement the changes that we see everywhere. They tried to express themselves through protests and new ways of communicating. They tried to apply the vision of the world and life to everything around him.

Guys, what do you think about hippie? In my opinion, they gave more vibrant in fashion. That’s cool to wore a maxi dress plus headband. Lol~ 😀
